Hebrews 10: 37-39
‘For in just a very little while, "He who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one (the just – NKJ) will live by faith. And if he shrinks back, I will not be pleased with him. But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved’.
TWO CHOICES – WE HAVE FAITH OR WE SHRINK BACK
This scripture in Hebrews is in the context that Jesus is coming, and He will not delay. We are moving to the Finish. It is clear that we have two choices – we either have faith or we shrink back. Shrinking back does not please God and He will destroy those that do. Being destroyed means losing the ability to live life in the midst of the darkness. When the ‘tsunami’ or great wave of darkness comes at us we want to ‘float’ and stay on the surface.
This is what having faith produces. Therefore faith is essential in the context of the Finish. It is our faith that pleases God
